Warner Bros. Japan LLC has unveiled the official trailer for its latest original anime series, Suicide Squad ISEKAI. The highly anticipated show will premiere on Hulu on June 27, featuring a unique twist on the classic DC characters as they navigate a fantastical world of swords and magic. Fans can catch Harley Quinn, the Joker, and the rest of the Suicide Squad in this 10-episode series every Thursday.

Warner Bros. Japan’s Latest Anime Series Brings DC Characters to a New Realm

In the crime-ridden Gotham City, Amanda Waller, the head of A.R.G.U.S., assembles a group of notorious criminals for a mission unlike any other. Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface, and King Shark are sent into an otherworldly realm connected to their world through a mysterious gate. This new realm, an “ISEKAI,” is a world where orcs rampage and dragons rule the skies.

Upon arriving in this new world, the Suicide Squad goes on a rampage but is soon captured by the kingdom’s soldiers and sent to prison. With only 72 hours before the bombs on their necks explode, the deadline looms ominously. Negotiations with Queen Aldora reveal that their only hope for liberation is to conquer the hostile Imperial army. With no other choice, the Suicide Squad throws themselves into the front lines of battle.
