Dragon Ball Z has been a huge success since its initial manga release in 1989, with fans around the world enjoying the franchise that bloomed from it. After the success of the anime adaptation, fans began to crave the video game titles for a greater Dragon Ball experience. Various games of different gaming genres have been released for the franchise, including the Dragon Ball Xenoverse series, which was released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The latest game from the franchise is Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, which is primarily an action RPG with Fighting game elements. The game’s plot follows the progression of the anime series and allows players to interact with the world, aside from just fighting. Dragon Ball: The Breakers is a brand-new online 1-on-7 asymmetrical action game, in which 7 normal humans must survive an attack from a Raider, who can be various villains seen throughout the franchise’s history.

Those that participate in the Open Beta will receive an in-game Oolong keychain accessory after the full game is purchased on the same platform and account they used for the beta.

When the game launches on October 14th this year, one of the classic antagonists in the DRAGON BALL universe, Majin Buu, will be playable in DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS. Players can experience the shapeshifting character’s various forms by turning Survivors into candy and absorbing them. Fans can also look forward to the newly revealed Farmer Survivor skin themed after the character from the opening moments of DRAGON BALL Z, which will also be available at launch.

In addition, players who own DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 can link DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS and receive in-game rewards based on their specific in-game achievements as a Raider or Survivor. Fans who have been enjoying Kakarot will be excited to experience the new story featured in the TV special. The features included in this special will be an exciting challenge to fans of the game, and it will be thrilling to find out how tough Frieza will be to fight in this extra content package. It will also be interesting to interact with the other characters featured in the TV special and would be curious if anything new was added to expand the experience.

This game is going to be an exciting new experience for fans, which will see players hiding and running from iconic villains in order to survive. This seems very similar to games such as Deathgarden: Bloodharvest, which sees a group of players trying to survive and hide from a hunter until they can escape. This will certainly be different than the combat games usually seen from the franchise, so it will be thrilling to experience this new concept.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers will begin the Open Beta on September 21 at 6:00 p.m. PDT until September 25 at 1:00 a.m. PDT. With Frieza and Cell available as Raiders and Oolong and Bulma optional skins for survivors.

The release date of the BARDOCK – ALONE AGAINST FATE DLC for Dragon Ball X: Kakarot will be revealed at a later date, with more announcements to follow.

Long time fan of Tokusatsu fan since Power Rangers was first released in the 90s. Whereas most Superhero fans grew up with DC Comics and Marvel, my childhood was surrounded by releases from Saban Entertainment such as Beetleborgs, along with anime, and other various fads of the generation. Anime is also a great passion with Digimon, That Time I Was Reincarnated As A Slime, and Demon Slayer being significant favorites. It was the love of both Power Rangers and Digimon that led to the path of becoming a Senior Writer for The Illuminerdi.
