Jordynne Grace talks about the pressure she felt representing TNA and the Knockouts division on NXT. She also reveals who else is looking to make an appearance in WWE.
The disbelief has subsided and the WWE Universe realized it wasn’t a dream. TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace had a match on this week’s NXT. She isn’t going to have one match and leave. This Sunday, June 9, she will face the NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez.

Jordynne Grace isn’t taking the opportunity lightly and realizes what an amazing opportunity she has to show what she is capable of. She was recently a guest on Fightful Wrestling With Sean Ross Sapp and talked about the pressure she feels representing TNA in NXT.
“A lot of these people have not seen you wrestle before, so you can wrestle the exact same way. And just now, hopefully there’s more people that can appreciate it. The biggest thing with me is that I know that WWE and TNA are putting a lot of stock into me to do well. And I feel like if I do badly, this could be cataclysmic, it could potentially end the partnership if I do so badly that they’re just like, ‘Well we’re never doing that again, we’re never taking a chance doing that again,’ so it’s a lot of pressure.”

How Far Will The WWE And TNA Partnership Go?
WWE having any sort of partnership with another promotion is very rare. It doesn’t happen very often and hasn’t happened in a very long time. However, in the last few years it has been happening more. It is believed this is because of Triple H taking over WWE and Vince McMahon taking on less and less until he eventually left all together.
This isn’t the first time Grace has stepped foot in a WWE ring. In January she made a surprise appearance in the WWE Women’s Royal Rumble match. Taking part in the match gave her some exposure to the WWE Universe and has helped to calm her nerves for her NXT appearances. She described what her Royal Rumble appearance taught her.
“What I learned at the Rumble was, no matter where it is or who it’s in front of, it’s still a wrestling ring and that’s what I’ve been doing for half my life.”
First Mickie James And Now Jordynne Grace

Grace’s appearance in WWE isn’t the first time WWE has worked with TNA. In the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match the then Knockouts World Champion Mickie James appeared. James was formerly with WWE, so they trusted her to not hurt the WWE Superstars in the match and be a good test representative in a partnership with TNA.

Grace and James also have some history. James defeated Grace for the Knockouts Championship during a heated feud between the two women. Grace’s appearance is certainly a huge next step in a working relationship with TNA. Despite their past feud, James took to her X/Twitter to share her excitement for her former competitor.
“The feels I get seeing the Knockouts World Championship held up high INSIDE a WWE ring makes me… ahhhsaaahhh…. 🤪”

If this test run in the partnership between TNA and WWE goes well we can see more crossover in the future. One of the biggest names WWE fans are hoping to see come over happens to be a big and dominant TNA star, Moose.
Grace was asked about if other TNA wrestlers have asked her about appearing in NXT. She revealed that Moose called her asking why she didn’t tell him and about wanting to appear in WWE.
“The only message I got about that was Moose. He called me and he was like, ‘Why didn’t you tell me? Why didn’t you tell me you were doing this?’ And I was like, ‘Moose you have the biggest mouth out of anyone I know. That would have gone out five minutes after I told you.’ He was like, ‘You should tell Shawn Michaels that I want to come over,’ I was like ‘I’ll go ahead and do that Moose.'”

Moose is the current TNA World champion after defeating Alex Shelley in January. He is 6 foot, 8 inches, 319 pounds. Seeing him face some of the big men in WWE like Braun Strowman or Bobby Lashley would certainly be a dream match.
With the door being open for TNA and WWE do you think this will be a common occurrence or just once or twice a year? Do you feel like Jordynne Grace has represented TNA well so far? Is Moose the number one person from TNA you want to see in WWE or NXT? Let us know on social media if you think the partnership will go as far as a WWE/NXT Superstar winning a TNA Championship or vice versa.
