The new Game Modes showcase features producer Jun Furutani showcasing the game’s single-player mode, featuring eight characters for the players to choose from, including Goku or Vegeta. In Sparking! ZERO, players will be able to live or relive some of the key battles from Dragon Ball Z up until Dragon Ball Super’s Tournament of Power. Players will also be able to experience cutscenes from the game from a first-person point of view, keeping their immersion in the Dragon Ball mythology. They’ll also be able to make decisions that will have them play alternative scenarios from the franchise they know and love on certain stages.

Another new feature revealed in the video is the Custom Battle. This will enable players to have fun with the possibilities of creating scenarios involving their favorite characters from the franchise. Also, the Bonus Battles are scenarios created by the developers with different victory conditions and unique cutscenes. In the game, characters, conditions, cutscenes, and battles can be made from either the ground up or from existing Bonus Battles as players create their dream showdowns. Players can then share these scenes with the world.

Another feature showcased is the offline Multiplayer mode. The game has been designed with Online Multiplayer and single-player in mind, but the development team also wanted to ensure the game would be the ultimate Dragon Ball game experience.

With that in mind, veterans and newcomers will be able to play against each other in the comfort of their homes, reliving some of their favorite childhood memories or honing their skills in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. It’s nice to see the developers are making sure the game will still be friendly to offline players, considering that appears to go against the modern thinking of most modern and AAA game releases.
