FUNKO UNVEILS NEW LINE OF ANIME-INSPIRED ITEMS

The new Jumbo Chan line is designed to emulate the charm of iconic 70s and 80s characters. Jumbo Chan features an exuberant expression and vibrant colors. Also, the first release of the Jumbo Chan line will be limited to 1,200 pieces. They all stand 14″ tall.

From Loungefly, they revealed new COLLECTIV accessories based on the hit anime series, Jujutsu Kaisen. These new accessories feature sleek and subtle designs. This looks like a collection that will excite fans and sorcerers alike.

Additionally, the collectible brand also unveiled its new Funime Cosplay and Digital Pop! collection. This new collection launches on May 14 at 11:00 am PT. This will feature Freddy and Franny Funko dressed up and cosplaying in anime-inspired designs. These will be available on the Funko Droppp platform. Lastly, Mondo also announced a new Thundercats line that will be launching later this year. This includes a line of sixth-scale collectible figures. Mondo has done great sixth-scale figures for He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, X-Men: The Animated Series, and Batman: The Animated Series. Mondo now making sixth-scale figures for Thundercats sounds awesome.

Based on the images that were revealed at the panel, it looks like Mondo is starting with Lion-O, the leader of the Thundercats first, and the figure looks fantastic. The panel also revealed that Mondo is creating a new line of 6″ action figures based on the iconic animated series, The Real Ghostbusters!

Mondo doing a line of 6″ action figures and starting with an animated series like The Real Ghostbusters is an exciting prospect. Hopefully, it does well enough that Mondo will keep expanding and trying new collector-oriented lines of nostalgic properties such as this. It will be curious to see the price point. Artist Alex Brewer crewed some early fan-concept images of what these figures might look like.
