Sonic The Hedgehog 2 drops its final trailer and tickets are now on sale!
Blue justice has dropped his final trailer for his upcoming sequel, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, releasing in theaters on April 8, 2022. Advance tickets are available now! There is also a special early screening on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. After some hiccups with the initial character design, the first Sonic film went on to be a surprise hit that began to win over a new audience for the spikey blue protagonist. Much like the games, the sequel is bringing in his famed two-tailed sidekick, Miles ‘Tails’ Prower, into the fold. Check out the final trailer below:
Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Final Trailer
The final trailer gives the best look at the film’s story. Eggman is back with new technology, new power, and a new accomplice, Knuckles the Echidna. While knuckles may lack Sonic’s speed, he more than compensates with power and focus. The two seem to battle it out a number of times and the trailer shows Knuckles to be the victor of pretty much all of their battles. Tails looks to be fulfilling his support role dutifully as always, but it is a bit disappointing to not see him flying with his tails in any of the footage so far.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 looks to be upping the action from the first one with sequences taking place on land, air, sea, and snow. The visuals are absolutely gorgeous and wonderfully bring the wild environments players will recognize from the game to life. This is all in addition to the beautifully grounded take on Eggman’s robots and the crowd-pleasing character designs. The sequel looks to take what fans enjoyed from the original and take it to the next level.
