Colin Farrell returns as Oswald Cobblepot, aka The Penguin! What a week it’s been for trailers! Besides new looks at The Acolyte, Furiosa, or Alien: Romulus, Max has come to drop the teaser trailer for their biggest show of the year (not counting House of the Dragon, which also dropped a new look at season 2 this week, and which comes from HBO proper), The Penguin.

In the upcoming DC Studios show, Colin Farrell reprises his role from Matt Reeves’ hit movie The Batman, but it also includes a long list of new cast members (see details below). Check out our first look here:

The series, based on the DC comic books and characters, continues the gritty, urban-like, realistic tone that made The Batman stick out in the comic-book genre by focusing first on being a mobster story and then a DC Comics property. Farrell is still hardly recognizable in the role, which he’s made his own by now.

There have been some rumors that Robert Pattinson will be reprising his role as Bruce Wayne, though it’s far from confirmed and may simply be an educated guess on the Internet’s part.

In the meantime, Warner Bros. recently delayed The Batman Part II from its planned fall 2025 to an October 2026 date, as Matt Reeves hasn’t been able to finish the script due to last year’s work stoppage. That also caused scheduling problems when it came to booking major stages to film the sequel, so the studio decided to push it. It’s still unknown if Farrell will be back as Oz Cobb in Part II, though we certainly wouldn’t be surprised.
