One of those matches is Bayley’s amazing match with IYO SKY. Bayley defeated the champion SKY for the WWE Women’s Championship and all people are talking about is Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.  CM Punk and Charlotte Flair shared some of their reactions to night two of WrestleMania with ESPN. Punk had this to say about the new WWE Women’s Champion Bayley. He stated the following:

“I think Bayley stole the show. I left this place 10 years ago because I had to for a lot of reasons. But I was so excited about the crop of talent that was in NXT, yourself [Charlotte], Bayley, Becky [Lynch], countless talents that I was excited to wait and get called up to the main roster … I missed this entire generation and I’m now back in the mix and I get to see it firsthand.

“I was there live at the Royal Rumble to watch Bayley win a Royal Rumble and now I got to watch her win a title in her first singles match at WrestleMania. I am grateful for the opportunity to just be a witness.”

It is interesting to think how much has changed in the past 10 years of WWE. Punk missed a lot of Superstars who went from nothing to the top of the card. Also, Superstars really came into their own during his absence. He missed the women’s revolution and getting to see these women like Bayley have some of the best matches ever.

Bayley’s match with SKY was the final nail in the coffin for Bayley’s feud with Damage CTRL. She started the faction and brought SKY and Dakota Kai back after their release, but they turned their backs on her. Her win cements her exit from the group and that she doesn’t need them. The overall feud was not the most exciting, but the match was very solid and showed how good both women are.

Bayley came out on top with her first singles match win at WrestleMania. It was very well deserved for all the hard work and dedication she has shown WWE over the years. Charlotte Flair expressed how proud she is of Bayley and her big win after she was asked what caught her eye during night two. The thought which kept going through Flair’s mind was that good guys can indeed finish on top. The former WWE Women’s Champion stated:

“She’s been the backbone, the heartbeat, never wavered. Sometimes [she] put herself last, and to see her have this big win at WrestleMania 40 and the audience, if you didn’t notice, were singing for her the entire time. I was just sitting there like ‘Man, the good guys do finish on top of the end.’ I couldn’t have been [more] proud of her.”

Another Championship Reign For Bayley

Bayley’s title win was far from her first. She has won the women’s championship four times total, having won the RAW Women’s Championship and the SmackDown Women’s Championship twice each. She has been a major part of the women’s division for a long time. However, she has always been overshadowed by the other women on the roster. Maybe with this big win that will be a thing of the past.

Bayley will return to SmackDown this Friday with a big target on her back. She will not only have to deal with Damage CTRL who will surely want their revenge, but some other very tough Superstars looking to show the world what they can do. Jade Cargill will be looking to continue the momentum she has had recently and better way than challenging the champion?

What do you think was the best match of the WrestleMania weekend? What about night one and night two? Where does Bayley’s match rank? Were you happy to see her win? Do you agree with Charlotte Flair that Bayley is the backbone of the women’s division? Let us know on social media who you like to see her feud with next.
