MULTIVERSUS Showcases New PvE Rifts Mode

Warner Bros. Games has unveiled a new extended look at the game's new PvE Rifts mode in MultiVersus!

Hot off the heels of the recent reveal of Mark Hamill as The Joker joining the roster, Warner Bros. Games has unveiled a new extended look at the game’s new PvE Rifts mode in MultiVersus! The new gameplay video features Velma, Finn, and Jake the Dog in a new video breakdown of the features of the new gameplay mode ahead of the upcoming full game launch set for later this month.

The video is staged as a fun sort of mock TED Talk, narrated by Velma Dinkley of course, with appearances by Finn and Jake from Adventure Time. You can check out the newly revealed gameplay video right here:

MULTIVERSUS DETAILS THE NEW PVE RIFTS MODE

The newly revealed Rifts mode will incorporate a variety of unexpected twists, boss fights, and mini-games to MultiVersus. This will be a fresh gameplay to experience the world of the game outside of the competitive PvP matches.

Each Rift is made up of chapters, comprised of various nodes that consist of battles and challenges. Each node contains unique mutators for different combat scenarios. By completing node objectives and winning matches, players will be able to earn rewards, gems, and more to raise stats and impart special effects.

WB Games also confirmed that there will be ongoing content updates for Rifts mode to keep things fresh. Additionally, Rifts mode will feature a way for players to learn mechanics, test characters, and sharpen their skills, whether it’s playing solo or cooperatively online with a friend.

MultiVersus is scheduled for its full launch on May 28. The upcoming game will be available as a free download for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The game will have full cross-play and cross-progression support.
