The official launch of the fighting game, MultiVersus, is right around the corner. Warner Bros. Games today just revealed two new exciting characters to join the official roster: Agent Smith from The Matrix franchise and Jason Voorhees of Friday the 13th fame!

The official launch of the fighting game, MultiVersus, is right around the corner. Warner Bros. Games today just revealed two new exciting characters to join the official roster: Agent Smith from The Matrix franchise and Jason Voorhees of Friday the 13th fame!

The game’s official launch is set for next week. Agent Smith and Jason Voorhees will now be joining the game as playable characters. WB Games revealed a new cinematic launch trailer for the Voorhees and Smith reveals, which you can check out below:

MULTIVERSUS REVEALS JASON VOORHEES AND AGENT SMITH IN NEW CINEMATIC LAUNCH TRAILER

The delightful cinematic launch trailer features all manner of Warner Bros.-licensed characters from across the Multiverse doing battle, including Finn from Adventure Time and Velma Dinkley from Scooby-Doo fighting the likes of The Joker and Bugs Bunny. Wonder Woman of the DC Universe gets in on the action, and you even see The Joker, voiced by Mark Hamill, on the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones. He summons none other than Jason Voorhees and Agent Smith to do his dirty work.

MultiVersus finally receives its full launch in just over a week. Voorhees and Agent Smith will join the iconic DC Super Villain The Joker as part of Season 1: Puns & Villainy. Voorhees will be playable in the game at launch, while Agent Smith will be available for the roster at a date later in the season. Both will be playable characters for the free-to-play platform fighter video game.

The impressive roster features a multitude of characters, including Bugs Bunny and Martin the Martian from Looney Tunes, the Iron Giant from The Iron Giant, Rick Sanchez from Rick and Morty, Stripe from Gremlins, and Finn the Human and Cake the Cat, a variant of Jake the Dog from Adventure Time. Other characters on the roster are Shaggy and Velma from Scooby-Doo, Steven Universe and Garnet from Steven Universe, Arya Stark from Game of Thrones, and LeBron James from Space Jam: A New Legacy.

MultiVersus receives its official launch on May 28 as a free download. It will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One game consoles. It will also be available for Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The game will feature cross-play and cross-progression support.
