Bite down on this bit of tasty news Babanbabanban Vampire fans as the boy love anime series is set to release beginning of next year. The new upcoming series is a comedy-romance based on a vampire called Ranmaru Mori who works in a normal bathhouse, where he meets human Rihito Tatsuno. The anime series is an adaption of the BL “Bloody Love-Comedy” manga created by author Hiromasa Okujima.

Visuals of the two main characters in this quirky bloody sucking comedy was released along with comments from the two key cast members Daisuke Namikawa and Yusuke Kobayashi. Key cast for Babanbabanban Vampire is as follows;
• Ranmaru Mori voiced by Daisuke Namikawa (Voice of Hotaru Haganezuka in Demon Slayer)
• Rihito Tatsuno voiced by Yusuke Kobayashi (Voice of Senku Ishigami in Dr. Stone: Ryusui)

Daisuke Namikawa– “Everyone is straightforward and desperate. However, things don’t go so easily. They often find themselves in dire situations. How they get through them is also one of the big attractions. It’s a very easy work to get into because it makes full use of settings that are generally considered to be like this in the world. The title of the work is punchy, but you can easily remember it if you hum it a few times, and if you watch it, you’ll understand what it’s about.”

Yusuke Kobayashi– “It’s a chaotic feeling that comes from each character acting according to their own heart. I especially like how Mori’s actions all lead to strangling himself. The direction also progresses in an unexpected direction, so the unpredictable developments are interesting.”
“I think the key is how to express pure power that will impress Mori-san. It’s not the same as expressing a little jealousy or cute behaviour in a cunning way, so I’m looking forward to recording how to express emotions honestly and how to match the tempo with the other characters.”
Directing and also the script writer for the anime series is Ichiro Kawasaki, who has directed on over 40 anime titles over the span of his career. Some of these titles include; B: The Beginning, The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting, Pokémon Generations and Haikyu!! Production for the BL series was produced by GAINA. GAINA has produced a popular selection of anime titles that fans love such as; The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil, Forest of Piano and Omoi no Kakera.
The BL anime adapted from “Bloody Love-Comedy manga written and illustrated by creator Hiromasa Okujima is an on-going manga, consisting so far of seven tankobon volumes. The manga has been running since Oc 12, 2021, published in Bessatsu Shonen Champion magazine. The last volume of the manga was published this spring on Mar 7, 2024. As well as getting an anime adaption Babanbabanban Vampire will also be receiving a Live-action movie that will debut in Japanese theatres next year.

Synopsis
450-year-old vampire Ranmaru Mori works as a live-in part time worker at a popular bathhouse; while hiding his true identity from the public and fellow workers, he only has one main goal… to have the heavenly taste, the blood of an 18-year-old virgin. To achieve his goal Ranmaru decides he will do what it takes to stop the 15-year-old son (Rihito Tatsuno) of the bathhouse owners, from losing his virginity until Ranmaru can taste his blood when he turns 18.
However, now that Rihito is starting to hit puberty and experiencing new feelings he falls in love with a girl at his school, now Ranmaru has to take action unless he wants his plan to fail.
