Held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, this highly anticipated event revealed a plethora of new acquisitions, world premiere first looks, and exciting updates, cementing Crunchyroll’s status as a leader in anime streaming.
Omniscient Reader Anime Adaptation
Crunchyroll and Aniplex are set to adapt the popular Korean web-novel turned webtoon Omniscient Reader into an anime series. The announcement was accompanied by the debut of key art and a first-look teaser, igniting excitement among fans.
“Dokja was an average office worker whose sole interest was reading his favorite web novel ‘Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse.’ But when the novel suddenly becomes reality, he is the only person who knows how the world will end. Armed with this realization, Dokja uses his understanding to change the course of the story, and the world, as he knows it.”
Dr. STONE SCIENCE FUTURE
The next and final chapter of the Dr. STONE saga, titled Dr. STONE SCIENCE FUTURE, was confirmed by lead voice actor Yusuke Kobayashi. New key art was shared in celebration of the anime’s fifth anniversary.

Fire Force Season 3
Fans of the fiery action series Fire Force were ecstatic to learn that Season 3 will be coming to Crunchyroll in a split cour release, with new episodes arriving in April 2025 and January 2026. A teaser trailer and key art were revealed, adding to the anticipation.

Yakuza Fiancé
The dark romance series Yakuza Fiancé will join Crunchyroll this October 2024. Based on the popular manga by Asuka Konishi, the announcement included a special video from director Toshifumi Kawase and a world premiere sneak peek from the first episode.
