Power Rangers Hyperforce

Project re:Power features all 5 Hyperforce Rangers in a fantastic reimagining of the TTRPG team. Power Rangers Hyperforce previously featured only Hyperforce Red but now includes Blue, Black, Pink, and Yellow. The 3D artist has beautifully created added details for the Rangers that only could be seen as extra video game characters or table-top pieces. Teasers have also been shown for the final member, which will debut next week from the fan art gallery.

Power Rangers Hyperforce began as a 25th-anniversary series that featured the first use of the TTRPG format for the franchise. The canon series was hosted by HyperRPG and only consisted of 25 episodes, with plans for a Season 2 ending due to the transition to Hasbro.

The Rangers were designed by the Red Ranger, Peter Sudarso, who played Ninja Steel Blue in Power Rangers Ninja Steel, which aired Its second ‘Super’ season the same year. The story currently continues thanks to Melissa Flores in the MMPR 30th anniversary event, Darkest Hour.

Power Rangers Hypeforce re:Power Project Adds All 4 Hyperforce Rangers to Complete the Team

Hyperforce Red has now been joined by two waves of coupled reveals, with the main team now completed. TokuJay debuted two sets of Rangers each week, consisting of Hyperforce Blue with Hyperforce Black, and Hyperforce Pink with Hyperforce Yellow.

Andre Meadows (BlackNerd Comedy), Voice Actor Cristina Vee, Meghan Camarena (Strawburry17), and Paul Schrier (Bulk from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) played as these Rangers, respectively. However, they never wore the suits for the Rangers they Morph into due to the nature of the format.

The Hyperforce Rangers were posed in the same stance as the cast in the Opening credits of the table-top series. In addition to these renders, the Rangers all kept the designs created by Peter Sudarso, which also included some amazing textures and references to their predecessors, the Time Force Rangers. Hyperforce Yellow also stands out for having his build remain the same as intended in the series, providing some amazing big-build representation with this iconic, heroic character.

Power Rangers Hyperforce, Weapons Activated

TokuJay also recreated the team’s individual weapons as seen for Hyperforce Red. This includes the Blue Ranger’s Oceanus Trident, the Black Ranger’s Coeus Axe, the Pink Ranger’s Hyperion Bow, and the Yellow Ranger’s Crius Hammer. These duo-mode weapons have yet to include their other modes, but they include magnificent details to enhance their appearance. TokuJay revealed his choices for some of these features that add greater visuals to these recreations for his reimagined Rangers.

“I especially love Jack’s gigantic hammer (…oh my), so I tried to emphasise the… giganticness? Also there’s a pretty obvious Time Force Pink reference with Chloe’s arrow, just for fun.”

The small Hyperforce logo pattern on the suits really makes a difference to the team’s Sci-Fi aesthetic. Hyperforce hype has continued to exist thanks to the dedicated fans and Boom! Studios comics. It’s so easy to imagine the cast donning these suits and it has been long overdue for them to do so.

It will be amazing to see the Power Rangers Hyperforce entire team together and see the other forms of their weapons. Whether we will see more from the season, like the Pink Battle Warrior, remains to be seen but it will be exciting to see Yoshi Sudarso go from Time Force Silver to Hyperforce Green next week.

Long time fan of Tokusatsu fan since Power Rangers was first released in the 90s. Whereas most Superhero fans grew up with DC Comics and Marvel, my childhood was surrounded by releases from Saban Entertainment such as Beetleborgs, along with anime, and other various fads of the generation. Anime is also a great passion with Digimon, That Time I Was Reincarnated As A Slime, and Demon Slayer being significant favorites. It was the love of both Power Rangers and Digimon that led to the path of becoming a Senior Writer for The Illuminerdi.
