Disney is gearing up for the highly anticipated D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event with an impressive array of programming and activations at the Anaheim Convention Center. Fans are in for a treat as Disney unveils over 230 panels and presentations, immersive experiences, and interactions with talent and artists, making this year’s event the largest and most exciting yet.
“We are thrilled for fans of all ages to join us in Anaheim next month for what will truly be the ultimate Disney fan experience,” said Michael Vargo, head of D23: The Official Disney Fan Club. “This year, D23 has been reimagined to showcase even more of what they love from across the worlds of Disney.”
Unmissable Panels and Presentations
The event will feature over 55 panels and presentations across five stages, highlighting the best in creative storytelling and innovation from The Walt Disney Company. Fans can expect behind-the-scenes looks at beloved classics and new releases, first-look showcases, and highly anticipated reunions. Some of the notable panels include:
- 30 Years of Toy Story: Filmmakers and Pixar Legends reflect on the making of the groundbreaking classic and share never-before-heard anecdotes.
- Exploring New Parts of the Mind: Behind the Design of Inside Out 2 + a Dreamy Surprise!: Inside Out 2 production designer Jason Deamer gives an in-depth look at the new emotions joining Headquarters as Riley enters her teenage years.
- Marvel Animation Sneak Peek: Exclusive first looks at upcoming Marvel Animation series, including Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Eyes of Wakanda, and future seasons of What If…? and X-Men ’97.
Immersive Show Floor Experiences
The show floor will be the largest in the event’s history, featuring immersive pavilions from Disney Experiences, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Disney+, Hulu, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, and National Geographic. Highlights include:
- Imagineering: Behind the Dreams: An unprecedented look at Imagineering’s innovative storytelling and immersive experiences.
- Walt Disney Archives Presents: “A Great Big Beautiful Car Show”: A display of over 20 vehicles from the Archives’ collection, showcasing fantastical vehicles from distant lands.
- Pixar Animation Studios & Walt Disney Animation Studios Pavilion: Artist demonstrations, filmmaker signings, fan giveaways, and interactive photo opportunities.
- The Magic of Disney on Broadway: Live demonstrations, props and costumes, and meet-and-greets with talented artists from Disney’s Broadway productions.
Expanding Beyond the Convention Center
For the first time, D23 will expand beyond the Anaheim Convention Center with events throughout Anaheim, including:
- D23 Day at Disneyland Resort on August 8
- Three nights of larger-than-life evening showcases at the Honda Center on August 9, 10, and 11
- D23 Day at Angel Stadium on August 4
Disney also launched D23: The Ultimate Disney Sweepstakes – FANtastic Prizes, featuring an impressive lineup of exclusive prizes and experiences. The full list of prizes is available at fantasticprizes.d23.com.
Reservation and Ticket Details
The Reservation Random Selection Process (RSP) for event stages, Talent Central, and most show floor experiences will open on Monday, July 15, at 12 p.m. PT, and run through Friday, July 19, at 12 p.m. PT. Reservations can be made at ultimatefanevent.reservations.d23.com. Standby queues will be available for most panels and experiences for those who do not receive reservations.
Talent Central and Special Guests
Talent Central will feature prominent names from Disney’s worlds, including Disney artists, filmmakers, and stars from popular series and shows. Notable appearances include:
- Percy Jackson and the Olympians
- Descendants: The Rise of Red
- The Simpsons
- Raven’s Home
Authors such as incoming Disney Legend Martha Blanding and Bret Iwan, the official voice of Mickey Mouse, will also be signing books and meeting fans.
