Focus Features is set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Edgar Wright’s cult classic horror comedy, Shaun of the Dead, with a unique immersive pop-up experience at San Diego Comic-Con 2024. This tribute to the iconic zombie movie promises to transport visitors directly into the hilariously twisted universe of the film, offering fans a truly unforgettable experience.
Step into the World of Shaun of the Dead
Located at 520 Fifth Avenue, the pop-up will be open to the public from Thursday, July 25th, through Sunday, July 28th. The operating hours are from 12pm-6pm on Thursday through Saturday and 12pm-4pm on Sunday. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a meticulously crafted set re-creation of the Winchester Tavern, complete with interactive photo opportunities, complimentary themed beer courtesy of Beer Zombies (for guests 21+, while supplies last), exclusive merchandise, game demos, and giveaways.

One of the standout features of the pop-up experience is the detailed re-creation of the Winchester Tavern, the iconic pub from the film. Fans can immerse themselves in the familiar setting, taking part in interactive photo opportunities that bring the movie to life. The pop-up will also offer exclusive merchandise, allowing fans to take home a piece of the Shaun of the Dead legacy.
Complimentary Themed Beer and More
Guests aged 21 and over will receive a complimentary can of the “Winchester Plan” beer, courtesy of Beer Zombies Brewing Co. This European Style Lager, crafted with the finest malt and noble hops, delivers a smooth, refreshing taste with a mild bitterness and a clean finish. In addition to the immersive set and themed beer, one of the highlights of the experience will be the chance to be among the first in the world to play the Shaun of the Dead-inspired level of the upcoming co-op action game, Funko Fusion, developed by 10:10 Games. This exclusive sneak peek comes ahead of the game’s global release this fall. Fans can pre-order physical console editions of the game at select global retailers and digital distribution partners.
Reservation and Access Details
The Shaun of the Dead pop-up experience is free to attend, but due to anticipated demand, guests are required to make reservations for specific time slots to gain entry. Focus Insiders will have first access to reserving a time slot beginning July 16 at 10 am PT, with reservation slots opening to the public on July 17 at 8 am PT. There will also be a standby line to accommodate walk-ups.
