The Expanded “Attack of the Metallic Menace” Experience Lands at the Interactive Zone at Petco Park on July 25-28 in Support of The Real Cost Teen Vaping Prevention Campaign

Fandom will be bringing the expanded “Attack of the Metallic Menace” experience at the Interactive Zone at Petco Park on July 25-28. The event will be in support of The Real Cost Teen Vaping Prevention Campaign.

Fandom and The Real Cost will unveil a custom augmented reality mobile game called Attack of the Metallic Menace – with an immersive gaming experience in San Diego during the biggest fan convention of the year. Here are all the details:

Inspired by classic Kaiju movies like Godzilla, the ten-foot metal monster – who made its debut last summer to thousands of convention attendees – is back to drive awareness around the dangers of teen vaping.
Attendees will be the first to experience the browser-based AR mobile game – created by Fandom – as they face off against the Metallic Menace who will send toxic metal shards their way, representing the toxic metals teens can inhale when vaping.
Players will try to dodge these toxic metals and fight the Metallic Menace at the event, while also competing against other attendees including fan-favorite gaming influencers.
Those at home can also engage with the “Metallic Menace” AR mobile game and custom influencer content during and after the weekend event.

All the festivities will happen at the Interactive Zone at Petco Park located on the Lexus Premier lot (58 Eleventh Ave, San Diego, CA 92113). The activation will be open during the following times to the general public, no badge is needed:

Thursday, July 25 – Saturday, July 27 from 10 am – 5 pm

Sunday, July 28 from 10 am – 4 pm
