Funko SDCC 2024 – The Toy Giant is Soaring to New Heights with ‘Funkoville International Airport’ Immersive Experience

Funko, Inc. (Nasdaq: FNKO) is set to soar at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2024 with an all-new, immersive booth experience dubbed the “Funkoville International Airport.” This innovative activation will transport fans to must-see destinations across the company’s beloved brands, including Pop! Yourself, Loungefly, Mondo, and the eagerly anticipated Funko Fusion. Located at booth numbers #5341, #5045, #5145, and #5137, the Funkoville International Airport will be open to all registered SDCC attendees from Wednesday, July 24 through Sunday, July 28.

Pop! Yourself Cosplay Experience

For the first time ever at a major pop culture event, Funko introduces the Pop! Yourself experience inspired by Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine. Fans can line up each day to create their own cosplay character modeled after either Deadpool or Wolverine, complete with character body and two additional accessories. Attendees will also receive exclusive Comic-Con packaging and a surprise “buddy” collectible, as well as access to two exclusive accessory options including a Deadpool VIP lanyard and a TVA-inspired device. The experience costs $50, and fans at home can join the fun through the Pop! Yourself online experience starting Wednesday, July 24.

“Last year, we introduced our Pop! Yourself program, and the response has been beyond what we could have ever imagined,” said Johanna Gepford, SVP Revenue. “Celebrating our one-year anniversary by directly engaging with the deep-rooted fandom of our Funko community allows us to immerse our fans in all things Funko at the epicenter of pop culture with our brand-new cosplay experience inspired by Deadpool & Wolverine.”

Funko (#5341), Loungefly (#5145), Mondo (#5137): Pop culture enthusiasts can explore the Loungefly baggage claim and Mondo arcade to purchase a wide array of Comic-Con exclusives that will be revealed soon. The company will also offer sought-after Comic-Con exclusives from beloved lines via Funko.com, Loungefly.com, and Mondoshop.com.

Funko Fusion (#5137): To celebrate the new highly anticipated AAA video game Funko Fusion, fans can try their luck on the “Funko Fusion Machine Game” and spin the wheel for a chance to win instant prizes. Funko Fusion, set for release on September 13, lets players journey through iconic worlds and mashup characters inspired by their favorite franchises in an action-adventure game with unique, irreverent humor.

Funko Passport Program & Funko Friday

Adding an extra layer of excitement, the Funko Passport Program allows fans to purchase a Funko Passport book for $5 at the Passport Station located in Funkoville. Fans can collect unique stamps from Funko, Mondo, Loungefly, and Funko Fusion, creating a memorable keepsake of their Comic-Con experience.

Funko Fundays, hosted annually, will continue its Fantastic Voyage theme over two nights (Friday, July 26, and Saturday, July 27). The event will feature a variety of contests, exclusive giveaways, special guests, and inside access to new and exciting announcements from Funko and its brands.
