Warner Bros. Games released a new trailer today for Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns. The new gameplay trailer offers an in-depth look at the upcoming character Cyrax, who will be among the six new playable characters in the game.

CYRAX FEATURED IN THE NEW MORTAL KOMBAT 1: KHAOS REIGNS GAMEPLAY TRAILER
Mortal Kombat 1 has sold more than four million units worldwide to date. In the New Era created by Fire God Liu Kang, Cyrax is now a young Lin Kuei warrior from the Zaki clan, whose prodigious skills earned her an invitation to serve under Sektor. She later seized the opportunity with vigor, but while she impressed the clan with her skills, her independent streak caused rifts with her mentor.
Cyrax remains untamed and will serve the Lin Kuei on her terms or not at all. In the game, Cyrax has a high-octane moveset, including the ability to leverage cybernetic technology to perform aerial attacks and evasive maneuvers. Those are complemented by her ability to utilize energy nets, which can pin down her opponents, explosives to extend combos, and sawblades for some devastating strikes.
The new gameplay trailer also offers a tease of Cyrax’s Animality, a brutal finishing move that allows her to morph into a hornet to annihilate her opponents. The fan-favorite Animalities will be available as a free content update for all MK1 owners in conjunction with the release of Khaos Reigns, which arrives on Sept. 24.

The Mortal Kombat 1 Khaos Reigns Kollection is currently available for pre-order on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PC for $89.99. Pre-ordering the expansion grants immediate access to the main game, the Kombat Pack, and 1,250 Dragon Krystal (in-game currency). It also offers access to the Khaos Reigns expansion, which launches next month.
