Angel Grove University students face a difficult choice after crossing paths with a fugitive straight out of legend. The consequences for hiding her are dire…but her existence may not stay secret for long.

In the wake of Darkest Hour, prepare yourself for a bold new era and a brand-new story unlike anything that’s come before! A perfect “Day One” jumping on point for new readers and old fans alike!

POWER RANGERS PRIME #1 features a main cover by the incomparable Dan Mora, with variants by Doaly (Radiant Black), Juni Ba (The Boy Wonder), InHyuk Lee (Mighty Morphin), Bon Bernardo (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Joëlle Jones (Catwoman) with Jordie Bellaire, and Rafael Albuquerque (American Vampire).

Female Red Rangers appear to be at the heart of this new series, with the whole series teasing a dramatic expansion of the Morphin Grid compared to the usual MO. The first installment will be a nail-biting premiere that will excite fans both current and first-time readers. The variant C cover for the series is also a curious addition to the release line-up. This is a great reveal that fans will be excited to see when it finally releases.

The direction of the story will be interesting to see, but it’s curious to see the Samurai Rangers seem lot an opposition to the Eltarians. The school-kid trope also appears to make a return, but there is a great selection of characters teased already. Whether any of the characters in the preview become Rangers remains to be seen, but it won’t be long until fans find out. We can’t wait to see all the characters introduced in the series and find out what dynamic this world will debut.

Long time fan of Tokusatsu fan since Power Rangers was first released in the 90s. Whereas most Superhero fans grew up with DC Comics and Marvel, my childhood was surrounded by releases from Saban Entertainment such as Beetleborgs, along with anime, and other various fads of the generation. Anime is also a great passion with Digimon, That Time I Was Reincarnated As A Slime, and Demon Slayer being significant favorites. It was the love of both Power Rangers and Digimon that led to the path of becoming a Senior Writer for The Illuminerdi.
