Mark your calendars: Den of Wolves is coming soon, but the takeover has already begun.
Den of Wolves

The minds behind Den of Wolves, Swedish game developer 10 Chambers, delivered a show-stopping finale to The Game Awards 2024, lighting up the Los Angeles skyline with a jaw-dropping display of 1,100 drones, including 100 outfitted with pyrotechnic flamethrowers. This dazzling spectacle was designed to celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Game Awards and introduce the world to their highly anticipated co-op FPS heist game, Den of Wolves.

Now, 10 Chambers is taking fans behind the scenes by releasing a full video of the drone show, alongside the trailer’s EDM-inspired track, “Takeover,” which is now available for streaming on major platforms.

A Skyline Ablaze

Following the conclusion of The Game Awards, attendees were treated to a mesmerizing performance as 1,100 drones lit up the night, creating intricate visuals inspired by the debut gameplay trailer for Den of Wolves. This next-level spectacle was executed in collaboration with Sky Elements, Guinness World Record holders and America’s Got Talent finalists, who choreographed the entire show with a 30-person control team.

“It was our first gameplay trailer for Den of Wolves, and it was The Game Awards’ 10th anniversary – so we set out to do something extra special to celebrate,” said Rasmus Harnell, Brand Experience Manager at 10 Chambers. “You could say it grew in scope, and I didn’t know back then that I would end up having to close off a street in central Los Angeles—and hire two LAPD officers to make sure we weren’t up to no good.”

Inside Den of Wolves

Unveiled with a high-energy gameplay trailer, Den of Wolves is a co-op FPS set in the dystopian, hyper-capitalistic world of Midway City in 2097. Led by Creative Director Ulf Andersson, the creator of Payday: The Heist and Payday 2, the game invites players to become criminal operatives, engaging in corporate conflicts with friends in a dark and dynamic urban landscape.

The trailer’s gritty tone and bold heist themes were amplified by the track “Takeover,” composed by Simon Viklund. Fans were so taken by the music that Viklund expanded it into a full-length version, which is now available on all major streaming platforms.

Record-Breaking Innovation

Den of Wolves

The drone show’s fiery finale didn’t just light up the night—it set the bar for what promotional events can achieve. With its blend of cutting-edge technology and cinematic flair, 10 Chambers showcased its knack for pushing boundaries both in and out of the gaming world.

Players eager to dive into the chaos of Den of Wolves can wishlist the game now on Steam.
