That Time I Was Reincarnated As A Slime has been an extremely well-received isekai as both a Manga and Anime series. The latest installment, Season 3 is currently airing as featured in the Crunchyroll Spring Line-up. However, the only video game providing a chance to experience Rimuru’s world is a mobile game. SLIME – ISEKAI Memories features a fantastic 3D turn-based RPG that allows players to experience the story in a casual format while offering exclusive additions. However, despite being able to explore the town, the gameplay doesn’t feature intense action combat.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Gets First Action RPG for Console & PC Gamers
Bandai Namco Europe today announced the first console and PC game of the Tensura series is in the works and set to release on 8th August. The action RPG That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ISEKAI Chronicles will be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. In That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ISEKAI Chronicles, players will follow leader Rimuru Tempest and companions as they build a nation, the Jura Tempest Federation, from the ground up and develop it. This 2D side-scrolling RPG follows the original story, including the encounters with the Kijin and the battle against the Kingdom of Falmuth, making it a great way for newcomers to discover the universe. It also includes two additional exclusive stories supervised by the original author, Fuse. Players can expect new characters designed by the original illustrator of the series to go along with these new stories, creating a fresh experience that longtime fans will be sure to enjoy!
Leaving town, players will discover the world of Tempest through exploration, where heated battles against foes and bosses await alongside dynamic combos and techniques from the anime. They will also be able to take on sub-quests when back in town, helping their companions, strengthening their relationships, and fighting skills at the same time.
This game has been long overdue as the anime has its 3rd season after its first movie. The story will be exciting to explore directly in a video game format but it’s fantastic that fans will also get massive new additions as exclusives. Amazingly, Fuse has added a fantastic reason to dive into the first video game for the franchise, along with engaging and visually charming combat.
The game also includes great features seen for the mobile game, including the opportunity to create your own Rimuru City. It will be exciting to see how much grander the experience will be as a full-fledged console title as a great new way to enjoy the story of a Reincarnated man as a Slime.
