Written and directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri, Ninja Scroll was originally released in 1993 and has since become a seminal work in anime filmmaking.
A Landmark in Anime Filmmaking
Ninja Scroll is celebrated for its intricate storytelling, compelling characters, and stunning animation. The film follows Jubei, a wandering swordsman who saves a young ninja woman and is subsequently drawn into a dark conspiracy involving demonic forces. AX Cinema Nights Series
The 30th anniversary theatrical release is part of Iconic Events Releasing’s 2024-2025 AX Cinema Nights series, a year-round movie event series celebrating the best new and classic anime films. AX Cinema Nights brings these beloved works to theaters across North America, providing fans with immersive and unforgettable experiences beyond the annual Anime Expo.

Ninja Scroll will screen in over 500 U.S. theaters on September 11, 12, and 15. The film will be presented in both its original Japanese with English subtitles and an English dubbed version, catering to a wide range of anime enthusiasts.

Fans will be able to purchase tickets at ax-cinemanights.com, which will also provide a complete list of participating theater locations. Synopsis
