As part of the 30th anniversary celebration of the franchise, fans were also blessed with a new series, Ranger Academy and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Return. With these releases ending, fans are now looking to the upcoming comic-con to find out what is next.

Power Rangers Infinity #1 Preview Blows Minds With First Look At Upcoming One-Shot

In the wake of Darkest Hour, DC superstar Sam Humphries (Green Lanterns, Harley Quinn), acclaimed artist team Brandt&Stein (Crowded), colorist Tríona Farrell, and letterer Ed Dukeshire, set the stage for a brand-new one-shot adventure featuring a truly outrageous new team. BOOM! Studios, together with leading toy and game company Hasbro, present a first look at Power Rangers Infinity #1

Diehard Ranger fangirl Lola somehow finds herself mixed up in a marvelous mess of multiversal madness! Lola, along with a ragtag team of off-kilter Rangers from across the Grid–dubbed “Infinity Force”–must come together to face off against the mildly dangerous D-list villainess Poisandra who has managed to snake her way across the fragile multiverse.

This epic, oversized issue will feature a main cover by Paulina Ganucheau, along with variant covers by Brandt&Stein, Goñi Montes, and Sweeney Boo!

The new Ranger teams featured in the very beginning of the previews have already greatly impacted fans. This has increased the excitement for the upcoming release, which would have been hard to follow on from the Darkest Hour finale. It is incredible just how much has been teased in such a short amount of pages and it will be exciting to see what kind of rabbit hole the story will leap into.

As the only announced release the following after the end of the MMPR comic series, it will be interesting to see if the panel guests will reveal bigger news for a possible new series that could be revealed at SDCC.

Power Rangers Infinity #1 will be available in comic shops on August 21, 2024. It is available for pre-order at your local comic shop. Digital copies can be purchased from content providers, including Kindle, iBooks, and Google Play.

Long time fan of Tokusatsu fan since Power Rangers was first released in the 90s. Whereas most Superhero fans grew up with DC Comics and Marvel, my childhood was surrounded by releases from Saban Entertainment such as Beetleborgs, along with anime, and other various fads of the generation. Anime is also a great passion with Digimon, That Time I Was Reincarnated As A Slime, and Demon Slayer being significant favorites. It was the love of both Power Rangers and Digimon that led to the path of becoming a Senior Writer for The Illuminerdi.
