NEW YORK COMIC-CON 2024 DAY 2 RECAP

The New York Comic-Con continued on Friday, October 17 in a big way. Here are some of the big ticket panels fans were able to check out for Day 1:

The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim Panel

Warner Bros. Pictures presented a panel showcasing a theatrical animated return to Middle-earth with The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim. Guests for the panel included filmmaker Kenji Kamiyama, Philippa Boyens, Jason DeMarco, Joseph Chou, Arty Papageorgiou. Phoebe Gittins, Brian Cox, Luke Paqualino, and Gaia Wise.

The Walking Dead Universe: The Walking Dead: Dead City and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol Panel

The cast and crew of The Walking Dead shows on AMC and AMC+ discussed the highly anticipated new season of Dead City ahead of its return to AMC and AMC+ next year. The cast and executive producers for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol were also on hand to preview what’s ahead for the rest of the current season. Guests for the panel included stars Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan, along with David Zabel, Scott Gimple, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, Greg Nicotero, Daniel Percival, Dascha Polanco, Zljko Ivanek, Gaius Charles, and Eli Jorne.

What We Do in the Shadows (FX) – Moderated Q&A and Exclusive Advance Screening – THE BATS ARE BACK!

The cast and crew of the popular FX Emmy-nominated vampire comedy series, What We Do in the Shadows, showcased the first two episodes of the show’s upcoming sixth and final season, which debuts on Monday, October 21 at 10:00 pm ET/PT on FX. It also streams the next day on Hulu!

Toei Animation Presents: One Piece Panel

During Day 2 at the New York Comic-Con 2024, anime studio Toei Animation showcased the team behind the hit smash-hit anime series, One Piece, to discuss the series and behind-the-scenes stories of making the show! Cast members for the English-dub version of the show included Colleen Clinkenbeard (Monkey D. Luffy) and Christopher Sabat (Roronoa Zoro).

Prime Video’s CROSS

Prime Video showcased the new streaming series, Cross, based on the characters from James Patterson’s bestselling book series. Series star Aldis Hodge was on hand for the panel to discuss his role as the homicide detective and forensic psychologist, Alex Cross. Other panelists included Isaiah Mustafa, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Ryan Eggold, and executive producer/showrunner Ben Watkins to preview the mystery thriller.

Sony Pictures Panel & Footage

Karate Kid: Legends - New York Comic-Con 2024 reveal poster

Sony Pictures hosted a panel at New York Comic-Con 2024 with special guests to showcase new footage from the upcoming sequel, Venom: The Last Dance, Karate Kid: Legends, and Kraven the Hunter. The first preview and poster were revealed for Karate Kid: Legends, which joins franchise stars Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan together onscreen for the first time!
