Playmates Toys reveals Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Re-Ignition toy line during Toy Fair in New York. Fans finally receive the first previews of the upcoming releases for the franchise, revealing new figures and roleplay toys. This includes a new Power Morpher and the Mighty Megazord, with images showcasing the new items coming soon. Here are the new items to be released as part of the ‘Re-Ignition’ of Power Rangers in 2025.
Hasbro previously featured the Lightning Collection line, which featured a range of figures and collectibles for Power Rangers fans. The hiatus meant that these releases were paused, despite the 30th anniversary event bringing fans Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always and Power Rangers Cosmic Fury. The last big toy released for Power Rangers was the Lightning Collection Master Morpher, which featured the legend, Jason David Frank’s voice for the limited release.
Playmates Toys Unveils First Look at New Power Rangers Toy Line
It’s Morphin Time! Playmates Toys will reveal a wide range of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Re-Ignition action figures, accessories, role-play toys and collectibles for the first time at the North American International Toy Fair in New York (March 1-4).
Hasbro’s Power Rangers is one of the longest-running kids live-action series in television history with 30+ years behind it and more than 900 episodes aired to date. Power Rangers is a globally iconic franchise, inspiring fans since 1993 with its action-packed adventures, teamwork, and diversity. The Power Rangers story follows five ordinary teens chosen to receive abilities that turn them into alien-fighting heroes.

The debut of the core line, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Re-Ignition, marks the initial collaboration between brand owner Hasbro and Playmates. This will include an innovative product line, exciting partnerships and new digital and enhanced content supported by an extensive marketing program designed to engage a new generation of kids.
Upcoming 1st Wave of Re-Ignition Power Rangers Line
The core Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Re-Ignition toy line is designed for ages 4+ and will begin rolling out at retail in Fall 2025. The first wave includes:
- Auto-Morphin Figures – With a simple press of the lever, each Power Ranger morphs from its teenage self to its Mighty Power Ranger hero! Collect all of the Power Ranger characters! $9.99
- Combinable Dinozords – As the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers summon the spirits of their mighty Dinozords, they can take on Rita’s giant alien monsters and come together to form the Megazord! This incredible combination comes to life when you collect each of the five Power Ranger Dinozords and combine them to build the Battle Ready Megazord in two modes: Tank Mode and Fighting Mode! $17.99
- Power Morpher – Every Power Ranger needs their Power Morpher to summon the spirits of their Dinozord and become the alien fighting heroes that are the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers! This Power Morpher comes with all five of the Power Ranger Power Coins and has over 40 sounds and phrases! The Power Morpher recognizes each coin and unlocks each of those Dinozord custom phrases and sounds! $16.99
- Blade Blaster – When it’s time to take on Rita and her Evil Aliens, you need the Power Ranger Blade Blaster! Two weapons in one, the Blade Blaster starts as the Power Ranger Blaster and then morphs into the extended Sword that can be used in any battle. The Blade Blaster comes with over 20 sounds and phrases and includes lights with every blast! Power Rangers, Blade Blasters up! $19.99
The outstanding feature of the toys is the nostalgia being recaptured for fans to obtain. The Flip-Morph action of the toys was a great feature of the original action figures, so it is great to see an updated take on the toy. The Megazord also seems to have a great design but certainly appears to have lower details compared to the Zord Ascension Project, making the toy more obtainable. The Blade Blaster and Power Morpher have yet to be revealed but it will be interesting to see how these look compared to the past incarnations from Bandai and Hasbro.
The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Re-Ignition line has yet to receive a release date, with more announcements expected to be revealed soon. The Auto-Morphin Figures, Combinable Dinozords, Power Morpher, and Blade Blaster are scheduled to be released in Fall 2025.
