Jurassic World Rebirth

During Round 1 of the NBA Playoffs, fans were treated to a dino-sized surprise: a brand-new spot for Jurassic World Rebirth, the next evolution in Universal Pictures’ legendary franchise. The promo, which cleverly ties into OKC Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s nickname, ignited social media and teased what’s being hailed as the most thrilling chapter in the Jurassic saga yet.

A New Era, A New Threat

Jurassic World Rebirth marks a bold new direction for the franchise, arriving three years after Jurassic World Dominion concluded a billion-dollar trilogy. Now, director Gareth Edwards (Rogue One) and original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp are bringing audiences back to the island where it all began—but what’s been left behind is more terrifying than ever.

The story picks up five years after the events of Dominion, as the world has grown largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. The few surviving species live in isolated equatorial biospheres—but buried within their DNA lies the key to a revolutionary, life-saving drug. That’s where covert ops specialist Zora Bennett, played by Academy Award® nominee Scarlett Johansson, comes in.

JURASSIC WORLD REBIRTH
Mahershala Ali is Duncan Kincaid in JURASSIC WORLD REBIRTH, directed by Gareth Edwards

Johansson leads an all-star cast that includes Mahershala Ali (Green Book), Jonathan Bailey (Bridgerton), and Rupert Friend (Obi-Wan Kenobi). Ali plays Duncan Kincaid, Zora’s trusted partner, while Bailey steps into the role of paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis. The team is sent to extract crucial genetic material from an abandoned Jurassic Park research facility—but things quickly spiral out of control when they encounter a shipwrecked civilian family and a deadly, long-buried secret.

As corporate interests and survival instincts collide, Jurassic World Rebirth promises to blend breathtaking visuals with razor-sharp thrills, continuing the franchise’s legacy of awe-inspiring dinosaur spectacle and thought-provoking ethical dilemmas.

What Makes This Jurassic?

Jurassic World Rebirth

Aside from returning to the roots of Jurassic Park with a dark and mysterious island setting, the film is said to feature a terrifying new roster of dino threats—including the largest land, sea, and air creatures the franchise has ever attempted.

And while the creatures are the draw, the characters are the soul: a cast that includes Luna Blaise, David Iacono, Audrina Miranda, Philippine Velge, Bechir Sylvain, and Ed Skrein rounds out this high-octane ensemble.

With a screenplay by David Koepp and the visual power of Gareth Edwards behind the camera, it’s a full-circle cinematic event that pays tribute to the 1993 original while forging a bold new path.

Tickets aren’t on sale yet, but this much is clear: a new Jurassic age is dawning. See Jurassic World Rebirth only in theaters this July.

Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.

Skilled covert operations expert Zora Bennett is contracted to lead a skilled team on a top-secret mission to secure genetic material from the world’s three most massive dinosaurs. When Zora’s operation intersects with a civilian family whose boating expedition was capsized by marauding aquatic dinos, they all find themselves stranded on an island where they come face-to-face with a sinister, shocking discovery that’s been hidden from the world for decades.

Will Zora’s mission change the future—or unleash a terror no one can control? Are we ready to return to the island that started it all? And how hyped are you for Scarlett Johansson to lead this next-gen Jurassic thrill ride? Let us know on social media!
