A new symbol rises—and it’s not what it seems. Crunchyroll is bringing the latest My Hero Academia movie, You’re Next, to global audiences this weekend. The action-packed anime feature became available for streaming Sunday, April 20, 2025, at 5:00 PM PT, inviting fans to witness a game-changing clash that could alter the course of hero society forever.
A Shadow of the Past Becomes the Threat of the Future
Set after the heart-stopping battle between Deku and Tomura Shigaraki, My Hero Academia: You’re Next introduces a mysterious new figure who bears a haunting resemblance to All Might. This sinister new villain, known as Dark Might, distorts the legacy of the former Symbol of Peace—and reveals a devastating Quirk that lets him create an enormous moving fortress, absorbing everything in his path.
With the world once again teetering on the edge of chaos, it’s up to Class 1-A to step up, unite, and prove what it truly means to be heroes. This is more than just another mission—this is their chance to save the symbol of peace from being twisted into one of destruction.
A Dream Team Behind the Scenes

Directed by Tensai Okamura, with a screenplay by My Hero Academia mainstay Yosuke Kuroda, the film continues the high production standards fans expect from Studio BONES. Original manga creator Kohei Horikoshi returns as General Supervisor and Character Designer, and Yuki Hayashi delivers a pulse-pounding score that heightens every emotional moment.
The film’s Japanese theme song “Homunculus” is performed by Vaundy, a genre-blending artist known for his emotionally raw and sonically eclectic style—perfect for the stakes of You’re Next.
Returning Fan-Favorite Cast

Both the Japanese and English casts feature familiar voices fans know and love. The English dub includes:
- Justin Briner as Izuku Midoriya
- Clifford Chapin as Katsuki Bakugo
- David Matranga as Shoto Todoroki
- Luci Christian as Ochaco Uraraka
- Chris Sabat pulling double duty as both All Might and the fearsome Dark Might
Joining the ensemble are newcomers Mauricio Ortiz-Segura as Giulio Gandini and Kayli Mills as Anna Scervino, expanding the global stakes of the story beyond Japan’s borders.
