And since Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is out now on Digital and Disney+, it seems like time to highlight one such nerd, Benedict Wong. Before Wong became Wong, or campaigned “Wong for Wong,” Benedict Wong was a nerd much like the rest of us. Now he is nerding and geeking out on a whole new level. But, before geeking out at the highest levels, Wong has been playing nerdy and geek-worthy parts throughout his career.
Benedict Wong Geeked Out Before It Was Cool
Before becoming the Sorceror Supreme in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness/Spider-Man: No Way Home, Benedict Wong has played numerous other geeky parts. He once portrayed Hikaru Sulu in a live Star Trek stage performance. Wong was also once Spider-Man in Sia’s Music Video “Breathe Me.” He also portrayed Master Lin in the Syfy series Deadly Class. That’s not including other roles such as Kublai Khan in Marco Polo or Shaun Li in Black Mirror. With such a wonderful geek-inspired and geek-worthy career, he obviously has countless geek moments. But which of the many is his favorite geek moment.
