Edge Denies WWE In-Ring Return

Despite rumors that Edge would be returning the WWE ring, Adam Copeland himself has denied signing any contract.

Last week, the Rated-R Superstar, Edge had the wrestling world buzzing about a possible return to in-ring competition in the WWE. According to PW Insider, the wrestler signed a new WWE contract that would include a return to the squared circle. According to Adam Copeland himself, that may not be the case. Here’s what he had to say on Twitter:

The rumor of Copeland’s return to the ring started back in October when he was seen in Pittsburgh, home of to the WWE’s doctor Joseph Maroon. Before signing with the WWE, he allegedly negotiated with AEW as well. He denies he’s been cleared for in-ring action, but he did admit during his E&C podcast that he could wrestle a match but didn’t think the WWE medical staff would allow him to work.

Edge Vs. WWE Rumors

Now, there will be a fair amount of skepticism out there by many fans. It was reported months ago that John Morrison signed with WWE, but the Shawman of Sexy repeatedly denied those reports publically. It was just recently that the WWE officially said Morrison had rejoined the company.

It should be noted that the last time Copeland got physical in the ring was during Summerslam in Toronto by spearing Elias.
