The release date for Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 seemingly “leaked” onto the Disney webpage, with a promotional video, before being removed. February 17th is the date to be marking on your calendars.
What is exciting is that now we will have some plot holes answered (hopefully), as well as an absolute conclusion to The Clone Wars saga that started way back in theaters in 2008, with 5 seasons on the Cartoon Network and a 6th season on Netflix titled “Lost Missions.”
The final 12 episode season will air on the Disney+ streaming service. Full details are yet to be revealed, including whether the episodes will be released weekly or all at once. I’m betting on the former. But all that information should be coming soon before the release.
I do have to commend the marketing department for these “leaks”. To post a promo video and then immediately delete it creates a “where were you when…” feeling, much like when we saw Matt Smith’s (Doctor Who) name popped up on the Disney webpage as a newcomer to the franchise for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and then was shortly deleted from that list. It makes you wonder about the JJ Abrams (true) cut for The Rise of Skywalker and where all of Matt Smith’s scenes are.
We need to find it. Dominic Monaghan had a little something to say about the deleted content, which leads one to more questions. But I need to stop before the Disney police catch wind of this information and strike me down in the name of the Sith.
Stay tuned for more updates on The Clone Wars as we have them!
