Director Matt Reeves has shared test footage from his highly anticipated The Batman film on social media, which gives us an exciting first look at Robert Pattinson in his batsuit.
What Does The Batman Footage Show?
The brief footage shows Batman in a dimly red lit room, with a close up of the bat symbol on his chest and the camera moving up to reveal Batman’s cowl.
The footage also provides a preview of what we can expect from composer Michael Giacchino for the film.

There is some speculation on Twitter that the bat symbol is made out of the same gun that was used to kill Bruce Wayne’s parents. This references a moment in Detective Comics #1000, which was written by Kevin Smith and Jim Lee.
It’s hard to tell what the colors of the suit truly are. However Thomas Polito, from Geeks Worldwide, stated in a now deleted tweet in January that the suit could potentially be blue and grey.
Reeves could be taking a page out of Todd Phillips’ book, who released test footage on social media to reveal the first look of Joaquin Phoenix as The Joker, not long before they filmed outdoors. So we could be getting a better look at Batman in action and his batsuit very soon.
