According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Reigns didn’t want to put himself at risk since he has a higher risk of contracting COVID-19 since he’s immunocompromised from his battle with leukemia. The match was to take place at the WWE Performance Center and was being billed as “Spear against Spear.” Reigns challenged Goldberg after the former WCW Superstar defeated the Fiend in Saudi Arabia at Super Showdown.

This was expected to be one of the marquee matchups for in pro wrestling on the Grandest Stage of Them All. Even though WWE is screening its employees, the Big Dog justifiably didn’t want to take the risk of contracting the coronavirus.

Who Will Replace Roman Reigns As Goldberg’s Opponent Now?

There’s currently no word on who Goldberg will be facing in place of Roman Reign at Wrestlemania 36 at this time. Most of the matches are going to be pre-recorded with many of them already shot. The taping for Wrestlemania was supposed to finish recording tonight.
