The dream match of Roman Reigns vs. Bill Goldberg for the Universal Championship is no longer happening at Wrestlemania 36.
According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Reigns didn’t want to put himself at risk since he has a higher risk of contracting COVID-19 since he’s immunocompromised from his battle with leukemia. The match was to take place at the WWE Performance Center and was being billed as “Spear against Spear.” Reigns challenged Goldberg after the former WCW Superstar defeated the Fiend in Saudi Arabia at Super Showdown.
This was expected to be one of the marquee matchups for in pro wrestling on the Grandest Stage of Them All. Even though WWE is screening its employees, the Big Dog justifiably didn’t want to take the risk of contracting the coronavirus.
