The Goosebumps book series and 90s TV series have been cult classics for a while, and now the tv series is returning to small screen.
Scholastic and Sony Pictures Television have announced that a TV Show reboot for the famous R.L. Stine books is happening. Scholastic’s Entertainment and Chief Strategy Officer, Iole Lucchese, has this to say about the show’s reboot:
Goosebumps has been keeping kids and families on the edge of their seats for nearly 30 years and we’re very excited to partner with Sony Pictures Television and Neal H. Moritz to bring the enduring brand to life in a fresh new way for today’s generation. From the world-famous book series to a full-scale licensing program and even live-action movies starring Jack Black, Goosebumps remains wildly popular and we look forward to presenting new adventures to give fans even more Goosebumps.
Goosebumps Details Still Under Wraps
Neal H. Mortiz will be will be working with Sony Pictures Television and Scholastic on the rebooted series. Now, with the original series, there were some liberties taken with each book that was used to ensure each episode was a half-hour long – which meant that not every book was portrayed well.
