Disney+ released the official trailer and key art to their upcoming Lucasfilm series, Andor.

Yesterday during the first day of Star Wars Celebration at the Anaheim Convention Center, Disney+ released the first trailer for their upcoming series Andor. The new Lucasfilm series will explore the time of the Empire’s rule from the perspective of Cassian Andor, with Diego Luna reprising his famed role from Rogue One. The series is a prequel to the film and will follow the rebel fighter’s journey with the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire. The series will premiere on August 31, 2022, and consists of 12 episodes. The trailer for the new Disney+ original series can be viewed below.

Lucky fans in attendance were able to receive an exclusive and limited poster of the series. The poster features the key art, which can be seen down below. In addition to the trailer and key art, we also have some stills from the series which give a little more of a glimpse. Immediately apparent from the stills are the glorious costumes, incredible coloring, and an impeccable mastery of lighting. The series looks to carry the dark yet hopeful heir of Rogue One.
