“It’s been a year of calm. Homelander’s subdued. Butcher works for the government, supervised by Hughie of all people. But both men itch to turn this peace and quiet into blood and bone. So when The Boys learn of a mysterious Anti-Supe weapon, it sends them crashing into the Seven, starting a war, and chasing the legend of the first Superhero: Soldier Boy.”

The Boys is based on the comic book of the same name. The series was originally published in 2006 under DC Comics’ Wildstorm imprint before moving to publisher Dynamite in 2007 for the remainder of its run. The seroes follows a secretive group of CIA operatives called, “The Boys” led by Billy Butcher to monitor those with super powers, including members of the Seven, commanded by the superhero Homelander. The show, as described by Amazon is,
“an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It’s the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about “The Seven,” and their formidable Vought backing.”
