The 26th Season of the Emmy Award-winning adult animated sitcom by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, South Park, is coming soon.
Here’s to 26 Years of South Park
Comedy Central first teased Season 26 on South Park Studios’ official YouTube channel on January 17, 2023. Three days later, they updated the video description to announce its premiere date of February 8, with other sources such as their official X (formerly Twitter) following suit.
From February 8 to March 29, Comedy Central aired the 26th Season of South Park. As with Season 25, it consists of 6 episodes, an even shorter run than Seasons 17 to 23, which each had 10. The episodes are as follows:
“Cupid Ye” (premiered February 8, 2023): Stan’s jealousy of Kyle and Tolkien’s friendship over making TikTok videos prompts Cartman to take matters into his own hands.
“The Worldwide Privacy Tour” (February 15, 2023): The Prince of Canada and his wife move to South Park for privacy, while Butters helps Kyle build his personal brand.
“Japanese Toilets” (March 1, 2023): Randy replaces the Marsh family toilet with a Japanese model and advocates its benefits.
“Deep Learning” (March 8, 2023): ChatGPT usage stirs up trouble for South Park Elementary students.
“DikinBaus Hot Dogs” (March 22, 2023): Inspired by Butters’ employment at an ice cream parlor, Cartman converts his hot dog house into a restaurant.
“Spring Break” (March 29, 2023): Garrison breaks into old habits, while Randy tries to liven up the Marsh household during spring break.
This Season satirizes a variety of topics, from Kanye West’s controversial views to the use of artificial intelligence to the current vocational climate. “DikinBaus Hot Dogs” notably references Parker and Stone purchasing, renovating, and reopening Casa Bonita, the Mexican restaurant in Denver, Colorado, made popular with the Season 7 episode of the same name. Casa Bonita is open for reservations since June 23, 2023.
What’s in the DVD/Blu-ray Set?
The Season 26 DVD and Blu-ray contains all 6 above episodes, with a total run time of 2 hours and 9 minutes. It is presented in widescreen format, complete with subtitles and 5.1 Dolby Digital (for DVD only) and TrueHD (for Blu-Ray only). The collection is unrated in the United States, while Canada rates it 14A for crude content and coarse language. Since Season 8, the series stars Trey Parker, Matt Stone, Mona Marshall, April Stewart, and Jennifer Howell among the voice cast.

Although the Season 26 DVD and Blu-ray were initially scheduled for release on September 12, 2023, it was delayed to November 7, 2023. No official reason has been disclosed for the release date change as of writing. In the meantime, Season 25 is available on DVD and Blu-ray, released on April 4, 2023. Season 26 can be pre-ordered for a discounted price on Amazon.
