DreamWorks Animation is set to expand the Kung Fu Panda universe with the addition of Awkwafina and Viola Davis to its already impressive cast. Fans can catch a glimpse of the action in the trailer for Kung Fu Panda 4, releasing tomorrow, ahead of its theatrical debut on March 8, 2024.

Kung Fu Panda 4 marks the return of comedy icon Jack Black as Po, the world’s most unlikely kung fu master, nearly a decade after the last installment. In this installment, Po, the Dragon Warrior, faces a new challenge as destiny calls him to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace. With limited knowledge of spiritual leadership and the urgent need to find and train a new Dragon Warrior, Po’s journey is filled with humor and unexpected twists.

The Threat of Chameleon

The film introduces a new villain, Chameleon, voiced by Oscar® winner Viola Davis. This wicked sorceress, a shapeshifting lizard, poses a significant threat as she eyes Po’s Staff of Wisdom to resurrect past villains defeated by Po. The stakes are higher than ever as Po must protect the Valley of Peace from her clutches.

Golden Globe winner Awkwafina joins the cast as Zhen, a crafty, quick-witted corsac fox. Despite their initial friction, Zhen’s skills prove invaluable to Po as they embark on a quest to thwart Chameleon’s plans. This comedic duo’s dynamic adds a fresh layer of entertainment to the film.
