Crunchyroll has revealed another wave of releases featured in the anime Winter 2024 line-up. The second wave of announcements includes new installments for series such as Blue Exorcist and Kingdom, along with some of the latest releases to complete this new season. Among the latest anime added to the platform include Mr. Villain’s Day Off and more releases that all feature this January. Check out the upcoming additions to the weekly schedule as more titles premiere beginning January 6th.
Anime fans are in for a treat as a new line-up of releases feature at the start of 2024 on Crunchyroll. The Winter line-up features highly anticipated releases such as Solo Levelling, Classroom of the Elite, Mashle: Magic and Muscles, and many new anime that will premiere their first episodes. As the Anime Awards draws near to celebrate the past releases, the new year of anime releases has also been revealed to include new installments for beloved titles such as That Time I Was Reincarnated As A Slime. While fans wait for their favorite anime, Crunchyroll will fill the void with new content that could become the latest favorites for a fan’s watchlist.
Newly Revealed Additions to Crunchyroll’s Winter 2024 Anime Schedule
Crunchyroll has revealed 6 more anime as additions to their previously announced Winter 2024 line-up. This includes 4 new anime that will premiere this January, adding to the amazing burst of content that fans have been treated to at the start of the new year. These releases are the premiere dates of the new subtitled simulcast releases, with dub date launches to be announced later when scheduled. As more may be released as January progresses, here are the new premieres to look forward to from Saturday, January 6th.
January 6
Blue Exorcist – Shimane Illuminati Saga – (Studio VOLN)
Rin and his friends successfully defeated the Impure King after his revival in Kyoto and have returned to their daily lives at True Cross Academy. However, the Knights of the True Cross begin receiving an increasing number of consultations about demons as a wave of strange events begins to spread across the world. Meanwhile, Rin and the other Exwires work to solve the mysterious phenomenon plaguing the school. But as the True Cross Academy Festival is in full swing, Lucifer, the King of Light and Commander-in-Chief of the Illuminati, suddenly appears. Lucifer declares war on the Knights of the True Cross – to resurrect the demon god Satan and rejoin the realm of humans, Assiah, and the realm of demons, Gehenna, as one. To do so, he states that Izumo is necessary for a certain “plan.”

There is so much to dive into during this Winter 2024 schedule but it’s glorious that fans will be treated with even more releases that premiere within a week. Blue Exorcist is a brilliant way to start the 2nd wave of announcements as many fans have been waiting for a continuation.
