An official clip for the upcoming horror-comedy 'Departing Seniors' has been release and you can watch it now!

Departing Seniors is an upcoming horror/comedy mystery film that follows a Mexican/American and queer high school student named Javier (Primo‘s Ignacio Diaz-Silverio), who begins to experience visions that show glimpses of shocking murders at his school before it happens. With the help of his best friend Bianca (Candyman‘s Ireon Roach), they try to unmask the serial killer before he strikes again. A FRESH SPIN ON TEEN SLASHER FILMS

Directed by Clare Cooney and produced by independent production company Dark Sky Films, Departing Seniors takes on a fresh spin on teen slasher movies like Scream and Freaky. It involves a queer protagonist and characters of color front and center and includes a sarcastic, whip-smart edge and appealingly complex characters.

Lead actor Ignacio Diaz-Silverio will be starring in the Amazon series Primo which is set to release later this year while also starring alongside Florence Pugh and Morgan Freeman in Zach Braff’s A Good Person for MGM+. He lends his voice to the popular podcast The Bystanders with Jane Lynch and Darren Criss. He also has other credits including CBS’s The Good Fight and Apple TV’s Suspicion.

Alongside Diaz-Silverio is Chicago-based writer, performer, curator, and teaching artist Ireon Roach. Her television and film credits include Chicago P.D, Knives and Skin, and most notably known in Nia DaCosta’s 2021 film, Candyman. She has been awarded Best Actress for her performance in The Come Up by SeriesFest, Studio City, and Seattle Film Festival.

Departing Seniors is set for a limited theatrical release and streaming on Apple TV on February 2, 2024. The theaters that are listed to be screening the film are listed below:

Synopsis: Mexican-American and queer, high school student Javier doesn’t exactly fit in with the popular kids. But he might be the only one who can save them.
