One of the parents who raised Superman has been revealed. Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, the man who taught Clark almost everything he knows.
Jonathan Kent is The Man Of Steel’s adopted father. He and his wife Martha discovered Kal-El when he first crashed on Earth in the humble town of Smallville before taking him as their own, Clark Kent.
The cast is stacked with characters famous not only to Superman’s lore but DC as a whole. There are many heroes and supporting characters in this film, yet there was no mention of those who made Superman who he is, until now.

Following Man of Steel’s Kevin Costner, Pruitt Taylor Vince is the latest to join the legacy of actors who fill the shoes of Superman’s dad, Jonathan. There’s no word on Martha yet but I think it’s safe to say we’re closer than before to learn the identity of the Kent matriarch.

Vince is an Emmy award-winning actor, having received one in 1991 for Guest Actor in a Drama Series with his role as a serial killer in Murder One. He is also known for Homefront, Beautiful Creatures, and Bird Box among many others.
