Crunchyroll has announced that Dead Dead Demons DEDEDEDE Destruction anime series will be available to Stream starting Thursday, May 23, 2024. Get ready Dead Dead Demons DEDEDEDE Destruction fans as from Thursday you can enjoy watching the anime series on Crunchyroll, which will be available to stream worldwide. Crunchyroll announced today that it would be adding the show to its wide variety of anime available to watch on their site/app.
New episodes will follow weekly after the anime’s premiere at 8:00 PM PT, Thu May 23, 2024, the anime will consist of 18 episodes. The anime series is an adaptation of the original manga story “Deddo Deddo Dēmonzu Dededede Desutorakushon” written by the story’s author Inio Asano. The manga consists of 12 volumes and was first published in Shogakukan’s Seinen manga magazine, Big Comic Spirit on April 28, 2014.

Dead Dead Demons DEDEDEDE Destruction manga was nominated for an Eisner Award in 2019 and recognized critically in 2018 at San Diego Comic-Con as one of the year’s Best New Manga titles, proving the quality of the story made by author Inio Asano.
The manga’s popularity grew and was then licensed to be published in multiple countries by multiple publishing agencies around the world by March 2022 it was recorded the manga had over 3 million copies in circulation. Dead Dead Demons DEDEDEDE Destruction was announced to receive an anime adaption back in March 2022, the Anime series was originally made into a two-part movie, which first premiered the first half in Japan on Mar 22, 2024. The second half of the movie was then set to debut on Apr. 19. However, the movie was pushed back and won’t premiere until later this month on May 24, 2024. Dead Dead Demons DEDEDEDE Destruction Anime adaption was produced by Production +H who have worked on other projects such as The Orbital Children, Uchuu Camper Chicchi and Harusaruhi. The animation director is Tomoyuki Kurokawa who has directed popular anime such as Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom, Blood Lad, Shingeki no Bahamut: Virgin Soul, and more.
The screenplay for Dead Dead Demons DEDEDEDE Destruction was composed by writer Reiko Yoshida who is known for her writing skills on such projects as; Bakuman, Blue Period, Dragon Ball Z and many more… with writing talent like that we have high hopes for Dead Dead Demons DEDEDEDE Destruction. “The story follows two high school girls who struggle with the mundanity of life after an alien spaceship descends on Japan. Three years previous the gigantic spacecraft named the “Mothership” attacked Tokyo, Japan without warning. Now in the present the Mothership just became a part of normal everyday life.”
“Despite the events that has taken place high schoolers Koyama Kadode and Nakagawa Ouran strangely behave like nothing has happened, both the girls continue to live their life’s each day like nothing changed.”

This story follows the storyline of these two high school girls and focuses more on their human nature and how they proceed in life after the events three years prior with the alien evasion. By focusing more on the lives of girls instead of the alien invasion itself, it appears this anime will have a lot of growth from our characters and revolve around their development in their new surroundings. This gives the animation a more of a slice-of-life feel to it.
