A second season has already been confirmed for I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability. It’s now said to be in production. It was recently announced that the popular anime will be receiving a second season. The series is based on the light novel created by author Kenkyo na Circle illustrated by Meru.

It was announced on June 17 on the anime’s X account that a second season will be produced. You can view the announcement below:

The first season of the anime series aired this April and concluded with Episode 12 “Lloyd’s Answer” on June 17, with the last episode airing the announcement came that the second season would be produced, as well as a Blu-ray of the first season will be released this year; the first volume will be released on Oct. 30, 2024, and the second volume will be released on Nov. 27, 2024.
Producing the second series for the anime will be Tsumugi Akita Animation Lab who handled season 1 of the show. Tsumugi Akita Animation Lab has produced only a couple of anime titles which include; Meiji Gekken: 1874 and Ryuusatsu no Kyoukotsu. I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability is the production studio’s best-produced anime to date, seeing a higher amount of fandom and popularity.
It was broadcast back on Nov 5, 2022, that the light manga novel created by Kenkyo na Circle and Meru would be adapted into an anime series. The first season was directed by Jin Tamamura, who is suspected to also be directing the second season however, nothing has been confirmed as of yet for staff or cast for season 2.

Jin Tamamura has a few anime series that he has directed, working on projects like; Chivalry of a Failed Knight, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Planetarian: Snow Globe, Non Non Biyori, and more. Jin Tamamura has also previously worked with Tsumugi Akita Animation Lab on a different anime series called Meiji Gekken: 1874 which was also released this year on Jan. 14, 2024, and concluded airing its first season on Mar. 24, 2024.

Not many details have been released yet on the production for Season 2 of I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability, but fans are hopeful that the previous cast for Season 1 will return for the production of the second season. With such positive feedback from its fans, it’s safe to say that season 1 has truly left an impression on its fandom, and we hope Season 2 will not disappoint.
