Wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan recently praised two WWE Superstars, one of which he believes could be the next Rock or Stone Cold Steve Austin. Meanwhile, he thinks the other one is raising the bar for all other wrestlers on the roster.

Hulk Hogan is perhaps one of the most important wrestlers of all time and certainly of the modern era. He and Vince McMahon took the small territory system and made the global territory of WWF. Hogan did this through his star power and charisma. A decade later he was the third man in the greatest faction of all time, the nWo.
Suffice it to say Hulk Hogan has seen a lot in his career and when he says a wrestler will become a huge star it is worth listening to. Hogan was a recent guest on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge and talked about the potential he sees in Bron Breakker and sees a lot of similarities to Goldberg. He said on Bron Breakker:
“He’s [Bron Breakker] something else; he’s wise beyond his years. Number one, to be that intense and to know the red light’s on and to be able to stay in that zone, it’s very impressive. So if they do the right thing with him that could be your next Stone Cold or Rock or Hulk Hogan, you know he could be the guy … He’s just got that extra spice you know, Bill [Goldberg] had a certain thing, I had a certain thing, The Rock had a certain thing.
“Bron Breakker has all the above plus he’s got a little extra spice on his plate, so I mean he’s ramped it up and he’s just getting started. I can’t even imagine what’s going to happen when he really figures it out.”

Breakker is the son of WWE Hall of Famer, Rick Steiner, who was one-half of the Steiner Brothers. He is also the nephew of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner. He has a brutal power style which is very similar to his dad and uncle. Breakker started his WWE career in 2021 when he debuted on an episode of NXT. That was the moment the world first saw what he could do. He would go on to win the NXT Championship twice and the NXT Tag Team Championship with Baron Corbin.
In February Breakker was called up to SmackDown. That run was short-lived, as he was soon drafted to the Raw roster in April during the 2024 WWE Draft. Since then, he’s left a path of destruction in his wake, targeting the likes of Ricochet, Ludwig Kaiser, and now WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn.
Breakker has now set his sights on Sami Zayn and his Intercontinental Championship. They are set to have a match at Money in the Bank this upcoming Saturday. He has a very good chance at walking out as champion and it will be the first step in taking over the main roster.
Hulk Hogan Praises the Gold Standard Set by Cody Rhodes
Hulk Hogan was also asked about someone who is already on top of the WWE roster, WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes. Hogan thinks he is “on to greatness” and has raised the bar for what is expected from everyone else on the roster. Hulk Hogan said on Cody Rhodes:
“I think Cody has worked real, real hard to carve a niche out for himself. I think he deserves to be exactly where he’s at. He’s cool, calm, and collected, very methodical, and I think he’s got some serious, serious longevity. I love his work. I love his work. He’s doing a really great job up there, and I’ve seen some really good stuff with him and Seth [Rollins], some really believable stuff, and it looks like he’s on to greatness. I think he could raise the bar for the whole WWE.”

Hogan went on to say that he thinks they need to stick with Rhodes and keep the championship on him for a while. He believes if WWE sticks with Rhodes and makes him the gold standard that he can raise the bar for everyone. Rhodes was able to defeat The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. It was a feat that looked impossible, but he did it. Since then he has faced Logan Paul and AJ Styles and came out on top.

Rhodes’ next match will be a familiar faction with new members, The Bloodline. This Saturday at Money in the Bank, Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton will take on the new Bloodline. The new Bloodline is composed of Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and the recently debuted Jacob Fatu. With the momentum Breakker has now it is inevitable that we will see Breakker vs. Rhodes in the not-too-distant future. The only question is who will leave as champion.
What have you thought about Hulk Hogan’s comments on Bron Breakker? What do you think Breakker needs to improve on to take him to the next level? Do you think Cody Rhodes has raised the bar and become the gold standard for the WWE men’s roster? Let us know on social media if you would like to see Breakker vs. Rhodes in the near future.
