Outright Games revealed the first look at gameplay for the upcoming new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed! The upcoming game is due out later this year and continues the adventures of the mutant heroes following the blockbuster hit movie, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem!
In the new game, the heroes in a half shell are looking to restore peace in New York City, and they’ll also be facing off against all-new mutants. The brothers will be teaming up once again with their friend April O’Neil, who will be using April O’News casts as players continue the story from the film.
Additionally, the voice actors from the hit film will be returning to voice their characters in the game! It will be available as a multi-platform release later this fall. You can check out the newly revealed trailer below:

The upcoming game also brings back the 3D-meets-2D art style in an immersive New York City setting. Players will be able to take the roles of Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo as they go head-to-head against all-new foes in a story-driven 3D Brawler/Platformer.
In Mutants Unleashed, the Ninja Turtles have to discover the villain behind a new threat causing unrest. Players will be able to take to the streets and sewers of New York and take part in a variety of high-energy missions. Players will also be able to hone each of the Turtles’ abilities in a powerful new skill street by racking up combat XP and level-up ally friendships to unlock new exciting locations to explore.
Players will be able to take control of the four masked heroes, each with their own unique combat playstyle. They will also be able to encounter famous characters from the lore and film, including Master Splinter, April, Bebop, Rocksteady, and more.
The game features a brand-new storyline that continues the events of the movie. Players will be able to play the game in solo mode or up to two-player co-op as the brothers battle to keep their newfound happiness and pursue their dreams of attending high school.
With the city declaring a curfew, the Turtles take to the streets, grind on rails, and zipline between buildings amid a dynamic night and day cycle, which brings the colorful essence of New York City to life. Players will be able to discover an array of collectibles hidden across the graffitied city as they wreak havoc in dynamic brawls, dodge incoming trains, and immerse themselves in the interactive world.
Reprising their roles from the films are Nicolas Cantu as Leonardo, Brady Noon as Raphael, Micah Abbey as Donatello, and Shamon Brown Jr. as Michelangelo. Also, Lead character designer Woodrow White lends his acclaimed art style to the game as he looks to conjure up a new breed of mutants.
