The hit animated series continues later this year with Season 23. The new season will feature Peter accidentally exposing his inability to throw a ball, Meg Griffin starts dating the giant chicken’s son, and Chris loses his earring in an adventure inspired by The Lord of the Rings. Also, Stewie finds out his stuffed bear Rupert was made in China, so he makes it his mission to take him back there to meet his family.

Season 23 will also parody The White Lotus when the Griffin family goes on a luxury vacation at a nice resort. However, after they arrive, Stewie is worried that his wealthy new friends will sacrifice him in a volcano. You can check out the newly revealed Season 23 trailer below:

Since the show’s debut in 1999, Family Guy has reached a huge following and cult status among its fans. Series creator and lead voice actor Seth MacFarlane (Peter, Stewie, Brian, and Quagmire) was nominated for the 2021 Emmy Award for Oustanding Character Voice-Over Performance, and he won the 2019 Emmy Award for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance. In 2018, Alex Borstein, the longtime voice of Lois Griffin, won the Emmy Award in that same category.

During the show’s historic run, it also received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series. It is only the second animated series in television history to receive such a nomination. The show now celebrates its landmark 25th anniversary.
