Bron Breakker reveals interest and the very real possibility of working with two main eventers in the near future. However, right now he is just focused on defending the Intercontinental Championship.
The men and the women went to war this past Saturday at Survivor Series: WarGames. Especially those who competed in the WarGames matches. However, there was another war that night which was just as brutal. Bron Breaker defended his Intercontinental Championship against Ludwig Kaiser and the hard-hitting Sheamus. After a brutal battle Breakker came out the victor.
With yet another victory under Bron Breakker’s belt the logical question is what is next and more importantly, who? Breakker was asked if he thinks he may get involved in CM Punk and Roman Reigns’ simmering feud at the post-Survivor Series press conference. He said there is a possibility Punk and Reigns are two men who he may be seeing in the near future standing across from him in the ring.

“I definitely think there is a possibility of that happening, maybe down the line, I don’t know. But the door is definitely open, so I guess just say, never say never on that.” H/T to Wrestling Inc. for the transcription
Punk was bought in as the fifth member of the original Bloodline side of the WarGames match. Paul Heyman brought him in by promising him a favor. Punk’s side won the match and as the team walked to the back Punk whispered in Heyman’s ear reminding him of the favor promised.
We don’t know what this favor is. It may be as simple as Heyman house sitting and feeding Punk’s dog, Larry. However, I think it is slightly more likely that it is a shot at Reign’s championship when he gets the championship back.
As much as Breakker and the world would love to see him mix it up with Punk and Reigns, he said not yet. At this point Breakker wants to focus on maintaining his IC title reign for as long as possible.
“I think the priority right now is my Intercontinental Title and having the best possible run that I can have and just do a great job, night in and night out, that’s where my focus is right now. I’m sure I’ll get to Gunther at some point down the line, but right now I’m just focused on this.”
Breakker went on to say that the thing which will validate his experience as IC champion will be to put on a good match for the fans. He isn’t looking for a record breaking championship run like GUNTHER had. As long as he leaves the fans happy then he is happy.
Speaking of GUNTHER, he also retained his championship at Survivor Series against Damian Priest. Finn Balor helped, but a win is a win. GUNTHER is setting the foundations for another long title reign. However, Breakker is doing the same with his IC Championship. Breakker and GUNTHER are no strangers to each other and Breakker even has a win over GUNTHER when they met in NXT.
Many people thought Breakker would be and should be the one to beat GUNTHER when he was the IC champion. Breakker could wake up one day and decide to set his sights on the World Heavyweight Championship. That should scare GUNTHER because Breakker is one of the only men to have a win over GUNTHER in recent history and Breakker has only gotten better since that win.
No matter where Breakker decides to set his sights, whoever is across from him in the ring needs to bring their A-game because Breakker certainly will. There is no one on the roster that Breakker can’t beat and that includes future WWE Hall of Famers like CM Punk and Roman Reigns.
What did you think of Survivor Series: WarGames? What about the WarGames matches? Did you think Kaiser and Sheamus had a chance at beating Breakker? Would you like to see Breakker face CM Punk and/or Roman Reigns in 2025? Is there one you would be more excited for? Let us know on social media who you would rather see Breakker win his first world championship from, GUNTHER or Cody Rhodes.
