BRIDGERTON Debuts First Look at Footage from the Upcoming Season

Season 3 Poster of Bridgerton with Penelope looking in a mirror

Wallflower no more! Penelope steals our hearts and his breath within seconds of the first look from Bridgerton Season 3. We shall all rejoice that our girl, Penelope, is out of that yellow. Although Nicola Coughlan makes everything she wears look good, it’s nice to finally see her not be forced into ugly dresses to dull her down. During the Next on Netflix event, Bridgerton fans were given the smallest little treat. A first look at the footage from Season 3 of Bridgerton.

Netflix Teases Bridgerton Season 3

In this wickedly short teaser, viewers get their first glimpse at the budding romance between Penelope and Colin. Every new season bestows a new romantic arc that follows one of the children in the Bridgerton household. Due to the series following the books by Julia Quinn, this particular pairing has been one that fans have been waiting for.

Not only that but since Penelope Featherington is the first love interest that has played an integral part in the first two seasons, there is a lot more on the line. Usually, the love interests have been introduced and wrapped up within their season. However, as this video clearly shows, this is much more than the love at first sight trope.

With the small bit we get to see, this clip was a great choice to give fans what they are wanting while fanning the flames of excitement. Seeing Colin get so flustered by the breathtaking Penelope makes it almost hard to believe that she is struggling to find a suitor.

What We Know So Far

This season will finally shine a light on Penelope Featherington, who has been secretly longing for her best friend’s brother, Colin Bridgerton. It seems as if things are starting to heat up regarding Penelope’s secret identity and the explosive ending of Bridgerton’s Season 2, she might be ready to move on from her crush. But the question is, is he ready to move on?

It seems as if Colin has finally started to notice the beautiful woman who has been right next to him the whole time. These new feelings he has stem from an arrangement the two make to help Penelope find a husband. As well as helping Colin get back in her good graces. Playing on the idea of friends becoming lovers and the ugly duckling, season three is set up to make Penelope the leading lady. Finally!

More Than the Romance

While it’s clear that Bridgerton is more of a romance-focused show, this season is about to get a lot more scandalous. It isn’t just Penelope and Colin who are about to steal the show, but Lady Whistledown. For two seasons we have all patiently been waiting to know and see more about the mysterious lady who knows all the dirty details.

Why did she start this? Is she going to end it or go harder? Will others find out? How is she going to cover her own love story? Will she and Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie) make up? There are so many questions that have left fans waiting with bated breath for this next season.

More is On Its Way

Adding more to the growing excitement and anticipation of the new season, there seems to be a special social event on the horizon. Netflix and Shondaland’s Global Fan & Press Event will be held on February 14 with amazing guests and tantalizing tidbits you are not going to want to miss.
