Celebrating Pokémon Day 2024, The Official Pokémon YouTube Channel uploaded a new Pokémon Presents!

Scarlet & Violet is currently holding Tera Raid Battle events to celebrate the franchise’s 28th anniversary. From February 28 to March 5, a mighty Venusaur can be encountered. From March 6 to March 12 players can battle a mighty Blastoise. Last, but certainly not least, mighty Charizard makes its return from March 13 to March 17. Only one of each can be captured per save file, though players can still participate in Tera Raid Battles. Players must download the latest update and have a Nintendo Switch online membership to participate.
Paldea Proceeds to Apps
From March 5 to March 11, GO is collaborating with the anime team for a special event. Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat will make his debut, equipped with Volt Tackle. Accompanying him are Charcadet and its evolutions, Armarouge and Ceruledge. The protagonists of Pokémon Horizons, Liko and Roy, will make appearances as well in GO Snapshot. The anime can be viewed on Netflix in the United States on March 7.
Sleep will see the debut of Raikou some time in March 2024, with Entei and Suicune to follow. A gift distribution of 10 Pokémon Biscuits and 1000 Diamonds lasts until April 30, 2024, so make sure to log in and claim them before they’re gone.
Commemorating 4.5 years since the launch of Pokémon Masters EX, several new Sync Pairs join the battle! Silver gets a Champion outfit with a Shiny Tyranitar as his partner, Geeta and Glimmora enter Pasio, Gladion gains a Sygna Suit to match Magearna, and Riley and Lucario can join anyone’s team.
As for Cafe Remix, there are new puzzles, new outfits, and new Pokémon to spice things up. Certain puzzles can now earn the player Gimmighoul coins, featuring Paldea’s penny-pinching phantom. From February 27 to March 14, players can choose a new outfit for Sprigatito, Fuecoco, or Quaxly. Bingo events from February 27 to March 14 and from March 14 to April 1 bring the opportunity to hire Koraidon and Miraidon, respectively.

Unite has Miraidon joining February 27, with Falinks marching in for April, with Ceruledge waiting to strike on a later date. A prize machine event commemorating Pokémon Day gives the chance to obtain Holowear and up to 100 Anniversary Balls a day at no cost. The catch is that Anniversary Balls can only be used the day they are obtained and reset the next day. The gift code POKEDAY24 lets one play as Miraidon, but it must be obtained before March 31.
All apps are available on the App Store and Google Play. They are also available on the Nintendo Switch (sans Pokémon Masters EX).
Upcoming Pokemon Titles on the Horizon
One of the new games arriving is the Trading Card Game Pocket, a collaborative project between The Pokémon Company, Creatures, Inc., and DeNA. In this title, the beloved trading card game is presented in a wholly digital format, exercising the artistic and technological presentation of previously printed cards. One example is immersive cards, transporting players into the world of the illustrations. The game will be released some time in 2024, downloadable from the App Store and Google Play.

Concluding the presentation is the teaser for the upcoming mainline game, Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Similar to Arceus, it appears that the new installment will cover how a Legendary Pokemon and its associated phenomenon shaped the region’s culture. With how the 2013 games Pokemon X & Y left many unanswered questions about the connections between the Kalos region, its Legendary Pokemon, and Mega Evolution, along with Zygarde’s involvement being relegated to an anime arc and a sidequest in Pokemon Sun & Moon, this may be another chance for Kalos to shine. Pokemon Legends: Z-A is to be released worldwide sometime in 2025.
