MULTIVERSUS: WB Games Reveals First Look at Stunning Agent Smith Gameplay

Warner Bros. Games previously revealed that the iconic villain of The Matrix franchise, Agent Smith, would be joining the free-to-play fighting game, MultiVersus, at a later date after its full launch earlier in May. The publisher has now officially revealed the first gameplay footage of Agent Smith, who joins the roster as a playable character starting next week.

Agent Smith will be available as a playable character in MultiVersus starting July 8 as part of Season 1: Puns & Villainy. You can check out the newly revealed gameplay trailer below:

MULTIVERSUS REVEALS NEW AGENT SMITH GAMEPLAY TRAILER

Agent Smith works as a Bruiser class character in the game, featuring a moveset befitting his role as a defender of The Matrix. He features staggering speed, uncanny aim, and an unquenchable thirst for control. He now wants to make the Multiverse his new playground.

The new trailer showcases Smith leveraging his close-range combat and shooting skills, teleporting to close the distance in the middle of battle, and calling in support from another Agent of The Matrix.

The good news is that Agent Smith will be available as a free playable fighter for the game starting July 8. He will be available to players who participate in the season-long “Beat Rifts, Get Agent Smith Free!” event. Players will be able to complete boss nodes in PvE (Player vs. Environment) Rifts mode to earn rewards.

MultiVersus is available now as a free download for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. It also features full cross-play and cross-progression support.
